Project Summary:

Waves (such as light, sound, and radio waves) have difficulty propagating through disordered media such as fog, biological tissues, or complex materials. This project combines physics and artificial intelligence to better understand these phenomena and predict wave behavior much faster than conventional computational methods.

By developing AI models trained on physics-based simulations, researchers will be able to explore situations that were previously out of reach and gain a deeper understanding of how waves propagate, become trapped, or find preferential pathways. In the long term, this research could benefit fields such as medical imaging, telecommunications, advanced materials, and photonics.
