Project Summary:

The AsTUS project is developing a new generation of infrared light sources that can be dynamically tuned in real time. By harnessing ultrathin materials with unique properties, researchers aim to precisely control the color, direction, and polarization of the emitted light, while enabling rapid adjustments using a simple electrical signal.

In the long term, these new light sources could enhance technologies used in thermal imaging, gas sensing, industrial inspection, as well as cooling systems and energy conversion.
