Project leads: Chéryl Feuillet-Palma and Marcel Filoche
Participating institutions: ESPCI Paris – PSL and Institut Langevin
Project summary: The goal of this project is to develop Josephson junctions for heterodyne detection of THz waves, using new high-temperature superconducting materials developed by Chéryl Feuillet-Palma’s group (LPEM, ESPCI). These granular materials exhibit intrinsic disorder, which requires a detailed understanding of quantum transport mechanisms. This is where the collaboration with Marcel Filoche’s team (Institut Langevin, ESPCI) comes in — they specialize in wave localization and transport phenomena in disordered and complex structures.
