[Save the date] Webinar "The emergence of complexity"
- In person at the PSL headquarters (60 rue Mazarine, 75006 Paris),
- Or remotely via Teams.
Join the 3rd webinar of the PSL Research Programs, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM. This session will explore the fascinating topic of the emergence of complexity, where interactions between simple elements create complex systems—from the brain to materials, and from cells to waves.
The event will be introduced by E.M. Mouhoud, President of PSL University, and Anne Christophe, Vice President of Research, Science & Society. Three researchers, who lead the Research Programs, will share their insights:
-
Julien de Rosny, Director of the SmartWaves program, will discuss physical and acoustic dynamics.
-
Philippe Faure, co-leader of the PSL Neuro program, will share his perspective on brain plasticity and neural activity.
-
Pascal Hersen, co-leader of the Engineering Life program, will address cellular-level interactions.
The event will be moderated by Olivier Dauchot, CNRS Research Director and Mission Officer for Science and Society to the President.
